Crib for a Bed

Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Greece, the closest thing I have to a set of parents, Ethan now has a proper place to sleep. He had been sleeping on a blanket on carpeted living room floor. The drive to IKEA to pick the crib up was a bit crazy, but we all made it through.

Thanks a bunch!

Leaf Peepers

Wee Ethan and I recently spent a week in NH. While I zipped around New England interviewing for medical school (yes, please do keep your fingers crossed) and pumping in all kinds of unusual places (yes, a stall in a hospital ladies' room is adequate, but no, it is not ideal), Ethan and the grandfolks connected in a whole new way. They experienced the hungry yelps, the infectious giggles, the fierce finger biting, and even the occasional heart-breaking tear streaming down the cheek. They nobly rose to the occasion, using every tool in their grand-parenting arsenal. My baby blankie, Scratchy Blanket, even made a tattered appearance.

Kudos to the new grandfolks for surviving the week. And thanks to the foliage for turning on the fire just in time for our visit.

Chugging with Daddy

(from Jeremy)
Just before Ethan and Jody took their week-long trip to New Hampshire last week, I was feeding Ethan his bottle in the early afternoon and I (on a whim) placed his hands on the little glass bottle of milk he was drinking from. Ethan then proceeded to chug the whole thing and set it down when he was done. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that. I was beside myself and could do nothing back stare and take pictures...
